Witchaven is a medieval fantasy first-person shooter video game with action role-playing game elements. Its sword and sorcery style story tasks the knight Grondoval with a quest to seek out and kill a powerful evil witch in her titular fortress.

Immortal: Unchained is an action role-playing game and third-person shooter with a high difficulty level and a focus on firearm combat, though basic melee weapons such as swords, axes, and clubs are also available. Enemies have critical weak points, typically the head and a glowing spot on their backs, that can be targeted for extra damage. The game is set in an alternate universe whose backstory draws on Norse mythology, spanning Nine Realms tied to a central artifact called the Monolith.

Borderlands 3 is a first-person looter shooter set seven years after the events of Borderlands 2. Players select one of four new Vault Hunters and travel across multiple planets to stop Troy and Tyreen Calypso, twin cult leaders seeking to harness the power of alien Vaults scattered throughout the galaxy. Darkstone is an action role-playing game with a medieval fantasy setting, played solo or in multiplayer and often compared to Diablo. Players choose from paired character types such as warrior or Amazon, wizard or sorceress, assassin or thief, and monk or priestess, then travel across four increasingly difficult lands to complete quests, fight monsters, and explore dungeons. Gameplay centers on improving character stats and gear, learning spells from spellbooks, and picking up skills like lockpicking and trap disarming, while a central village serves as a hub for trading, banking, and restocking supplies. Randomly selected quests and shifting dungeon layouts vary each playthrough.
