Monkey Shines

Monkey Shines is a platform game for the Apple Macintosh that was created and published as shareware by FantaSoft, LLC in 1997. In the game, a monkey named Bonzo explores various stages, gathering fruits and keys. Monkey Shines was named the most nostalgic game of the year by MacUser magazine in 1997. Later, a Microsoft Windows-compatible version of the game was created.

Based on the cartoon series, this 2D side-scrolling action game (with 3D elements) has you seeking out Master Subodye to learn the four magic spells: fire, freeze, shrink and strength. Use these powers in over 30 worlds (five levels featuring 28 scenes and 16 opponents) to gain items like the Power Rod in order to survive the game. Then travel the world to gain other magical items and defend your monkey friends from, well, everybody. With a playful spin on one of the great Asian folk tales, Sunsoft's Monkey Magic is filled with martial arts moves, environments and exotic, Eastern melodies. Can you set a world right when it doesn't want to be corrected? Are you "monkey" enough to survive the attacks of gods and monsters? You bet your prehensile tail you are!

Players must guide a monkey to eat as many bananas as possible while avoiding spiders and already-eaten bananas.

The adventure of Pop and Chips begins with the fairy Pippi, who has been kidnapped by Pumpkin the Great. There are blocks that can be broken and blocks that cannot be broken on the screen. When you break the fruit block, Pippi appears and moves up and down on the screen, and when you go around and back to the original position, he returns to the original fruit block. If you touch Pippi, he will be collected at the top left of the screen. Once you return to the fruit, the movement will be faster from the second time. Clear the screen by collecting all the Pippi.

Blinky 3 is a platformer for MS-DOS, developed by Jeremy Lamar. It's (obviously) the sequel to Blinky 2, though it plays differently. It was released on December 9, 1995. The shareware version of the game was available in the "Kids Only" section of AOL's "Shareware Games".

This TurboGrafx-16 release of Lode Runner allows users to create and save levels, much like the original computer-based releases. A very straightforward conversion of a popular puzzle platform game. You must collect the piles of gold on each level, while avoiding the robots on patrol. To defend yourself, you are able to shoot holes in the platforms to your left or right, and these will capture the robots for a short time before they climb out again. Once you have collected all the gold, make your way to the top of the screen for the next level. The game also includes a level editor.
