Minecraft focuses on allowing the player to explore, interact with, and modify a dynamically-generated map made of one-cubic-meter-sized blocks. In addition to blocks, the environment features plants, mobs, and items. Some activities in the game include mining for ore, fighting hostile mobs, and crafting new blocks and tools by gathering various resources found in the game. The game's open-ended model allows players to create structures, creations, and artwork on various multiplayer servers or their single-player maps. Other features include redstone circuits for logic computations and remote actions, minecarts and tracks, and a mysterious underworld called the Nether. A designated but completely optional goal of the game is to travel to a dimension called the End, and defeat the ender dragon.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a crossover fighting game developed by Capcom in collaboration with Eighting. The game features characters from both Capcom's video game franchises and comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in February 2011. It is the fifth installment of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise and the first to use three-dimensional character models instead of sprites. In Marvel vs. Capcom 3, players select a team of three characters to engage in combat and attempt to knock out their opponents. It features similar tag team game mechanics to earlier games in the series, along with new methods of play designed to make the game more accessible to new players. The game was produced by Ryota Niitsuma, who had previously worked on Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, which utilizes the same simplified three-button attack system. The game received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay and character roster, while criticizing its online component and lack of features and game modes. More than 2 million units were shipped worldwide a month after its debut, rendering it a commercial success. Less than a year after its release, Capcom announced an updated version of the game, titled Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The game features a clash between Falcom's two main franchises, Ys and Sora no Kiseki (Trails in the Sky) with appearances by a cast of familiar characters from each of the two series. The game's story mode is similar to those from the same fighting game genre. The player follows a character's journey across several stages to meet and fight different adversaries until achieving that character's epilogue. Unlike other games however, the battles follows Ys Seven's overhead display of combat and giving the player a greater variety of combat capabilities unique to those of a RPG.

The Game Paradise: Master of Shooting is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up developed and published by Jaleco. Set inside an arcade taken over by the scientist Genius Yamada, it features playable characters drawn from earlier Jaleco games, each with different weapons and bomb attacks. The game uses a parody style, with stages and enemies based on arcade machines, game genres and Jaleco’s own catalogue. The Sega Saturn version added an auto-bomber function that automatically uses bombs when hit by bullets, as well as original stages and additional playable characters. In addition, a scene in which deformed characters perform skits between stages has been added. These additional elements can be viewed by selecting "Arrange Mode" on the title screen. Players can also select the arcade version without the added elements, but the ending will be changed.
