Uki Uki Tsuri Tengoku - Ningyo densetsu no nazo begins when the player's character (a fisherman) is taken by a plane to Mermaid Island (a fictional place where there are a lot of different fishing spots). The game features conversations with the island people and different fishing spots (with different fishing types) and lures. Easy to use and with a great variety of fish species the game got a great database of fishes and features a lot of hours of play. All the game use a first person perspective in the adventure and the fighing part. The player can fish on land or use a boat to go to other fishing spot of the island.

One of the things that really makes a difference in Umi No Oh! Yah! from the rest of fishing games is that you first select the fishing spot on the map and then you have to drive the boat until those places (there is an auto pilot mode) and we you arrive there you can start to fish. The game features a story mode and a training mode to learn how to catch a fish. In this game to fish you don't move the rod, you move the boat.

Suikoden is a Japanese-style role-playing game with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game, the most common one being the traditional turn-based party combat (players can have up to six people in their active party). Magic runes can be equipped on the player's characters which allow limited usage of offensive and healing spells. There are also a few army battles, where the player must control whole units of fighters, archers, magicians, etc., and one-on-one fights (duels).

As a in the first game in the series the game uses the classic first person perspective. This time the game features 2 different game modes a story mode in which the player can try to catch fishes in different places of the island, watch animals in one part of the island and compete in fishing tournaments, the other game mode is free fishing in which the player select a fishing spot and try to catch fishes. The game features different fish species and fishing spots. The game features also a complete encyclopedia with a lot of different kind of fish species and recipes that are unlockables catching them in the story mode.

Suizokukan Project Fish Hunter e no Michi is a fishing game in which the player takes the role of a young man (millionaire) that remember when he was a kid and his father teach him how to fish he now have a tourist center with an aquarium as the main attraction. During the game he will have to catch different fish species to fill the aquarium. The player can go around the tourist center and visit all the places. The fishing part is in a third person perspective and the player can see the fishes that he caught in the aquarium. The player can train a dolphin to atrain possible visitors to the center, and try earn money to buy new things or fishes to the center. The game features mini games like cleaning the pool and others.
