Super Wrestle Angels is a all female professional wrestling simulation game by Great and published by Imagineer. The first playing mode can be described as a 'professional wrestling group management mode', which is the original feature of this Super Famicom version. There, the player takes the role of a woman wrestling group manager, picks a team and schedules practices, fights, entertainment and helps his cute wrestlers to elevate their professional careers. The other modes are more oriented towards actual fighting, and gets the player to pick female wrestlers and organize versus wrestling matches. However, Super Wrestle Angels is based around a popular Japanese wrestling card game, and because of this, all the matches are round based and opponents pick-up cards to decide of their next move.

In Wrestle Angels, the player has to recruit a number of female wrestlers to participate in a fictional championship. The player can choose different wrestlers for each match. Each wrestler has a variety of special moves. When the match begins, the player controls the actions of the wrestler by selecting those moves in turn-based fashion, trying to predict what move the opponent wrestler will choose. After all of the player-controlled wrestlers have participated in a match, a decisive match between the strongest player-controlled wrestler and opponent wrestler takes place. The loser of this match removes part of her clothes on the ring. Apart from that, there are no sexual elements in the game, so it cannot be considered adult.

In the second installment of the Wrestle Angels series, the player chooses a female wrestler (from over twenty available ones) to participate in a fictional tournament. Like in the first game, every wrestler has a variety of moves, which can be selected during the match in a turn-based fashion. Each move is then displayed as a picture. The second game strengthens the preparation element: wrestlers have statistics and can learn new moves, depending on the player's choices. The player can also choose to set the matches on auto if he feels that the playable wrestler has learned the best moves. There is also an exhibition mode that allows the player to put play as any wrestler against any opponent in a single match, or a three-match mini-tournament. The losers of the decisive tournament battles remove parts of their clothes upon defeat; however, there is no explicit nudity or sexual situations in the game.

Wrestle Angels 3 is, like its predecessors in the series, a turn-based wrestling-themed game. The player takes the role of the manager of a new company that represents and trains young wrestlers, guiding them to participate in an all-female league. Wrestlers can be selected and hired either directly by following the league's records, or by scouting the city and recruiting suitable candidates. Afterwards the wrestlers can be trained by choosing and investing points into particular moves. It is also possible to send them on vacations. Most actions in that preparation mode cost action points (AP); running out of them ends the turn. The manager can then send the wrestlers to participate in tournaments. The actual wrestling matches can be set in auto, with their outcome determined by the wrestlers' parameters. However, it is also possible to control them manually, choosing each move from a deck of randomly dealt cards. Moves include attacks, special attacks of various kinds, charging, healing, etc. There is also an exhibition mode where the player can select any of the 48 available wrestlers and take them to single or tag-team matches.

Wrestle Angels Special follows the same gameplay template as its predecessors in the series. Unlike in the previous games, however, the player creates two female wrestlers. After naming them, the player is taken to a character screen, which allows him to choose wrestling moves that will be used in the upcoming battles. After that, the tournament begins. As before, the wrestling matches are turn-based, both sides choosing a move from several available ones. It is also possible to set the matches on auto, letting the computer AI choose the moves, in case the player is sure the best moves were assigned before the match. There is also an exhibition mode, which allows the player to choose any wrestler and to have a single match against any other.
